Dear Parents:
You recently received notification of your child’s school placement through the Hartford Public School Choice lottery.
Please be aware that the response date for you to notify the Hartford Public Schools of your placement acceptance has been extended from April 2nd to April 11th. Hartford Public Schools wants all of our students and families to have a successful start on August 28th to the new school year.
Accept now and mail in your letter to the Choice Office.

Usted recibió recientemente notificación de ubicación de la escuela de su niño por la lotería de las Escuelas Publicas de Hartford. Queremos infórmale que la fecha de respuesta para notificar las Escuelas Publicas de Hartford de su aceptación de ubicación ha sido extendida del 2 de abril al 11 de abril. Las Escuelas Pública de Hartford desean que todos nuestros estudiantes y sus familias tengan un exitoso comienzo del nuevo ano escolar que comenzara el 28 de agosto 2012. Please note that the application response date for families who participate in the Transitional Student lottery process extended has been EXTENDED. It is now Wednesday, April 11th.
Non-Transitional and New students to the Hartford District ONLY:
A fully completed HPS Choice Application must be submitted online or on paper between February 13, 2012 and April 5, 2012. Online applications may be submitted up to 11:59 P.M. on April 5, 2012. Mailed paper applications must be postmarked by April 5, 2012. Hand-delivered paper applications must be submitted by 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 5, 2012.
