How do I find out if school will be closed because of snow or other inclement weather?
Call the Hartford Public Schools ‘Snowline’ 695-SNOW (7669) to find out if schools will be closed, or have a delayed opening or early closing.

I have an issue regarding transportation for my child. Who do I call?

I need to talk to my child’s principal? How can I reach him/her?

Does my child’s school have its own website?
All Hartford Public Schools have their own websites.  Go to www.hartfordschools.org and click on the “schools” pull-down menu.

What kinds of services are offered to students and families?
Hartford Public Schools offers a variety of services to facilitate and support learning.  The HPS Welcome Center, tel. 695-8400, helps families address problems in a caring, respectful manner. Questions about transportation, registration, special transfers, Special Education, discipline, or any other issue can be addressed by calling the Welcome Center during regular business hours (M-F, 8:30 -4:30).
