The on-time application period for the Hartford Public Schools’ lottery is October 15, 2011- January 31, 2012. The Lottery is scheduled to run the week in April, 2012.

The magnet schools have a separate application and offices located at 43 Vernon Street, Hartford, CT (www.magneteducation.org).  The Regional School Choice Office can be reached at (860) 757-6188.

Transitional Grades:

• A fully completed HPS Choice Application must be submitted online or on paper between October 15, 2011 and January 31, 2012. Online applications may be submitted up to 11:59 P.M. on January 31, 2012. Mailed paper applications must be postmarked by January 31, 2012. Hand-delivered paper applications must be submitted by 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012.

Non-Transitional Grades:

• A fully completed HPS Choice Application must be submitted online or on paper between February 13, 2012 and April 5, 2012. Online applications may be submitted up to 11:59 P.M. on April 5, 2012. Mailed paper applications must be postmarked by April 5, 2012. Hand-delivered paper applications must be submitted by 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 5, 2012.
