Our primary goal is the safe transportation of students to and from school. We work diligently to make sure that transportation services are efficient and cost effective for Hartford families.  

 

We need you to do your part too.  Parents and guardians, please assume the responsibility of safety at bus stops including getting children to and from bus stops.  We rely on your involvement to keep our students (your children) safe from harm as they travel to and from school.

Transportation Walking Distances (2011-2012):

• Grade K-1 is 0.5 miles or more

• Grades 2-5 is 1.0 miles or more

• Grades 6-8 is 1.5 miles or more

• Grades 9-12 is 2.0 miles or more

 

Transportation will not be provided for elementary students placed in schools outside their home zone, except for these schools:

•   Achievement First located in Zone 1 will provide transportation to Zones 1 & 2

•   Global Communications Academy  located in Zone 2 will provide transportation to students in all 4 zones transportation
