Global Communications Academy (IB Candidacy School)

The Global Communications Academy (IB Candidate) is a creative partnership design, which enables all students to be highly prepared for college. The Global Communications Academy is based on an international school design and helps develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn, and work in a rapidly globalizing world by offering a rigorous international curriculum. Students will become bi-literate, learning to speak, write and read in two languages. Say Yes to Education provides students with the skills necessary to successfully pursue and complete a post secondary education. SAY Yes provides a scholarship and academic intervention program, which is committed to awarding scholarships for post-secondary education.

Academic/School Programs

When at the Global Communications Academy students will receive academic counseling, career exploration, college readiness workshops, extended day tutoring, mentors and a summer program. The school will be designed around three major components: the Primary Years Program for grades K-5; the Middle Years Program for grades 6-10; and the Diploma Program for grades 11 and 12; all at one campus site.
