M. L. King School

Child Drawing

Dr. Martin Luther King School is a professional learning community with high expectations for all of their students, where cultural diversity is celebrated, and parent and community participation is the key to student success. It is our belief that providing a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children and adults are respected, valued, appreciated and motivated to develop, will create productive learners prepared for life in an informational and technological age.

Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment that is child – centered. We develop and prepare students who achieve academic standards while demonstrating appropriate social skills and strong leadership skills. King School is a community for learning in which the parents, staff, students and community work cooperatively to attain these goals.
