Rawson School

Sarah J. Rawson School provides a community partnership to promote cooperation, respect and appreciation of life long learning for all that ensures academic excellence, appropriate social and emotional development, self confidence and problem solving skills, and communication among all stakeholders. All students will acquire strong ethical values and will learn to demonstrate creativity and responsibility, while effectively meeting the challenges of a diverse and changing world.

Academic/School Programs

The school currently serves a population of 766 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten to grade eight. The cultures reflected in the neighborhood are African American and West Indian American with some Latino and European origin representation. The neighborhood has a strong bond of parents who care and are involved in the education of their children.
