Magnet Theme
The Annie Fisher Magnet School of Multiple Intelligences is based on the work of Howard Gardner, who suggested that intelligence has to do with the capacity for (1) solving problems and (2) fashioning products in a context-rich and naturalistic environment. The school achieves this by focusing on seven comprehensive areas of human intelligence and capabilities: Linguistic, Logical-Mathematical, Spatial, Bodily-Kinesthetic, Musical, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal and Naturalistic.
Annie Fisher uses two Web-based programs that students in grades 2 – 8 have access to 24 hours a day, all year long: First In Math (Firstinmath.com) and Study Island (StudyIsland.com). Fisher is proud to have the First In Math fifth-ranked student on the national level.
