Bellizzi Middle School has a developing theme as a technology school for the students of Hartford Public Schools. Our mission, as a community, is to provide our students with appropriate opportunities to be productive learners prepared for life in an informational and technological age, while guiding them to become responsible citizens within an ever-changing global society. We strive, as a cohesive body, to provide authentic learning opportunities for our students. It is our belief that these opportunities will create more meaningful connections for learning.

We are a community of individuals, working together for the betterment of students. Our students loop with their cluster teachers for grades six and seven, providing a consistent and stable learning environment. Guidance counselors and administration follow their students from the beginning of sixth grade to their commencement ceremony in eighth grade. Our mantra is simple, yet effective for all aspects of learning and living: take care of yourself, take care of each other, take care of this place!
