The International Baccalaureate/Say Yes to Education Academy is a creative design, which integrates two programs that enable all students to access college. The International Baccalaureate program is internationally-acclaimed and helps develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn, and work in a rapidly globalizing world by offering a rigorous international-minded curriculum. Students will become bi-literate; learning to speak, write and read in two languages. Say Yes to Education provides students with the skills necessary to successfully pursue and complete a post secondary education. It is a scholarship and academic intervention program, which is committed to awarding scholarships for post-secondary education on the condition that the students graduate. Students will receive academic counseling, career exploration, college readiness workshops, extended day tutoring, mentors and a summer program. The school is designed around three major components: the Primary Year Program for grades Pre-K - 5; the Middle Years Program for grades 6 - 10; and the Diplomat Program for grades 11 and 12; all at one campus site.

Academic/School Programs:

  • International-minded curriculum
  • Second language study beginning in Kindergarten
  • After school enrichment programs and academic support for all students
  • Summer exploratory program for all students
  • Financial assistance for college
  • A study abroad or international visit opportunity
  • Active parent involvement is required as defined by the School Compact
