Parkville Community School is a multicultural community that challenges active learners using differentiated instruction while creating a safe environment to nurture respectful, responsible citizens.

About Parkville:
Located in the west central section of Hartford, Parkville Community School services grades PK-6. Parkville Community School is home to 600 students from diverse backgrounds, with more than twenty countries represented. Parkville School utilizes a large source of data and student work samples to determine individual, classroom and school needs. A myriad of strategies, materials and professional development workshops are utilized to address the needs of our students. Children are encouraged to become independent learners and critical thinkers. Differentiated instruction, multiple intelligence theory and an interdisciplinary approach to teaching nurture these goals.

The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program and The Positive Behavior Support Program are components of the school’s daily routine. Parkville Community School continually seeks to develop and recognize positive behaviors within students while at the same time strengthening the school climate.
