Magnet Theme:
The University High School of Science and Engineering is a partnership of the University of Hartford and the Hartford Public Schools. The school prepares graduates for pursuing further education and careers in a range of scientific, engineering, and technology fields.
Academic/School Programs:
- Early College Model of high school education that bridges college and high school by infusing the expectations of collegiate education into the high school experience. AP courses also available.
- Opportunity for qualified students to earn college credits while in high school.
- Curriculum focuses on mathematics, science, technology and engineering, with physics,
engineering and 2 math courses required during freshman year.
- Internships with local science and engineering firms available for interested students, such as, UCONN Mini Medical, Junior Doctor Academy.
- School-wide FIRST Robotics team.
