A Letter from Bulkeley:

September 1, 2013

Dear Friend,

We write you today about the new and improved Bulkeley High School. Our students make up many diverse cultures and countries including: Myanamar, Thailand, Vietnam, Bosnia, Mexico, Russia, the Ivory Coast and many Latin American countries.  We truly have an amazing combination of talented students at Bulkeley High School who have made extraordinary advances and are able to participate in a myriad of activities and programs that our school has to offer.

The teachers and staff at Bulkeley are dedicated and motivated professionals who strive to improve our students’ academic achievement. We provide our students with support and guidance to help nurture their relationships and to foster individual and group growth. We are reaching out to the community to form a bond with Bulkeley High School to aid in the support of our students as they strive to learn and succeed, to graduate high school and attend college.

We are excited to host our fourth Annual Taste of Bulkeley, a fundraiser which will enable our students to continue to have the opportunity to benefit from our programming. This will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 6pm.  The event will feature samplings of fare from a variety of local businesses and restaurants as well as an exciting silent auction.   Local personalities and dignitaries will be in attendance as well as many community leaders, educators and friends of Bulkeley.

We sincerely hope that you will be willing to donate to this wonderful occasion. All donors will be listed in our program and signage will be displayed prominently.   Together we can make a difference in the lives of our promising Bulkeley students.

Sincerely,
