Adult Education and Opportunity High Students Learn About Firefighting Careers

On February 6, 2013, students from the Adult Education Center and Opportunity High School learned about careers in firefighting through a workshop hosted at their shared building on Washington Street.  Retired Chief Charles Teale and Lieutenant Lionel Thompson spoke about the pride, commitment, and service required for the profession, and gave advice and strategies for applying to the City’s Fire Department.
