
September Attendance Awareness Month Wrap-up
Hartford Public Schools has been so excited to welcome back all our students for the 2021-2022 school year. September was Attendance Awareness Month and attendance matters!
Congratulations to all our raffle winners and to all our students who attend all day, every day!
In wrapping up September, Superintendent Dr. Leslie Torres-Rodriguez shared the below District SMART Goals:
District SMART Goal: Hartford Public School students in grades PreK-12 will be present in school daily in order to attain 90% Average Daily Attendance (ADA) by the end of September 2021 as measured by weekly PowerSchool data.
Current Reality: 87% ADA for Week 4
District SMART Goal: To reduce the percentage of students that are chronically absent within PreK-12 in the Hartford Public Schools from 43% in June 2021 to 27% by the end of September 2021 as measured by Powerschool data.
Currently Reality: 34% CA rate for Week 4
Shout out to: Betances STEM Magnet School, Breakthrough Magnet School South, Classical Magnet School, Environmental Sciences Magnet School, Montessori Magnet School @ Annie Fisher, Naylor School, Renzulli Gifted and Talented Academy, Kinsella Magnet School Lower, STEM Magnet School @ Annie Fisher and Noah Webster for 90% ADA ALL of Week 4!
Shout out to: Betances Learning Lab Magnet School, Breakthrough Magnet School North, Burns School, Burr School, Expeditionary Learning Academy at Moylan School, Global Communications Academy, Great Path Academy at MCC, Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, Kennelly School, MLK Middle School, MD Fox School, Parkville Community School, Pathways Academy, Sanchez School, Sand School, Sport and Medical Sciences Academy, and Wish School for hitting 90% ADA at least 1 day during Week 4!
