Brandon Frame Receives Janet Linton Leadership Award
During the NAF Next 2017 Conference that took place July 9-12 in Dallas, Texas, Brandon Frame, Director of Business Partnerships and Development, High School Inc., Insurance and Finance Academy, received a Janet Linton Leadership Award.
The Janet Linton Leadership Award recognizes outstanding academy directors and educational leaders (including district administrators, teachers, and principals). Created in 2006, in memory of the late San Diego Academy Director, Janet Linton, the award honors extraordinary contributions and leadership within the NAF network, at the school, district, and state levels.
Mr. Frame joined High School Inc. in 2011 and has built a culture around the slogan, “Taking students from the classroom to the boardroom.” Since joining High School Inc., he has increased internships from 8 to over 50 annually and the Advisory Board to more than 15 members. To date, the academy has placed over 200 students in corporate internships with more than 75 students traveling to visit top corporations in the UK through the Global Excursion program. Mr. Frame has also implemented a wonderful entrepreneurial capstone program, where students have had the opportunity to turn classroom ideas into a real-life business ventures. At High School Inc., students participate in impactful programs such as Executive Luncheons, Case Competition, and the Leadership and Professional Development Summit.
Under the leadership of Mr. Frame, High School Inc. has been recognized as a Distinguished Academy for three years in a row, and has been visited by the Mayor of Hartford, as well as the Governor, and has been recognized for its exemplary work-based learning program and contributions to climbing graduation rates. High School Inc. has been profiled by Black Enterprise, CBS, NBC, and the Hartford Courant for their work, which has brought incredible attention and resources to the school and its students.
