Burns Latino Studies School Families and Staff March in 5th Annual Greater Hartford Puerto Rican Day Parade & Festival del Coqui

Students, parents and staff of Burns Latino Studies Academy marched in the 5th Annual Greater Hartford Puerto Rican Day Parade on Sunday, June 1, 2014.  It was a fun event and a first for the current staff who participated; Jodi Kabat and family, Emden Jimenez, Myra Aldarondo, Liz Giannetta Ramos, Enid Camacho and principal, Dr. Monica Brase.  There have been many changes with regard to the climate and culture in our school and the community.  It was important to show up and represent that together, parents, staff and students, will make a difference in the lives of our children.
