Celebrating National Assistant Principals Week

Celebrating National Assistant Principals Week

April 5, 2021

Dear Colleagues,

This is National Assistant Principals Week 2021 and I would like to take this opportunity to honor the contributions and hard work of assistant principals across our district. Our amazing assistant principals play such an important role in our goal to ensure students graduate ready for college, career, and success.

During this challenging past year, our assistant principals collaborated closely with principals, administrators, teachers, and support staff to meet the changing needs of our students. To help ensure all our learners are on track, assistant principals managed the complex task of preparing both in-person and remote learners for key assessments. As many students in all grades transitioned back to full-time in-person learning last month, our assistant principals demonstrated leadership and dedication to provide equitable access to academic and social-emotional supports.

Let’s celebrate our assistant principals for their commitment, their strength, and their heart.

Throughout this week, please take a moment to recognize our assistant principals. Send a thank-you note or post a shout-out on social media with the #APWeek21 hashtag.

With gratitude,

Dr. Leslie Torres-Rodriguez
