 Celebrating National School Psychology Week

Dear Colleagues,

This week is National School Psychology Week. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep appreciation and gratitude for our school psychologists and all they do to support our students.

Long before the pandemic, our school psychologists played an important role in supporting our students’ social-emotional development and well-being. Since COVID-19 disrupted student learning and our relationships with each other, their contributions to the recovery of our students are even more vital. School psychologists provide support and interventions for students, and they partner with families, teachers, and school-based staff to ensure student success. The work our school psychologists do to help students manage difficult emotions, make decisions, resolve problems, and navigate social relationships is essential.

For all they do to ensure the success of our students in school and in life, let’s thank and celebrate our amazing school psychologists!

Sincerely,

Dr. Leslie Torres-Rodriguez
Superintendent
