Celebrating Our Paraeducators & 10 Paraeducator of the Year Finalists
Dear Colleagues,
Today, April 7, is National Paraprofessional Appreciation Day. At Hartford Public Schools, we are extremely grateful for the dedication and commitment of all our paraeducators. Their contributions support our mission to provide equitable access to high-quality teaching and learning for all our students.
Paraeducators assist teachers and school staff in preparing our students academically and providing support services. This year, our paraeducators had to go above and beyond to support our students, both remote and in-person, during an unprecedented and challenging time in our district. Their hard work ensures more individualized instruction for our learners. They also help build a welcoming school culture and nurturing environment that supports the success of all our students.
We thank our paraeducators for their passion, energy, and creativity. Their contributions are invaluable. Please join me in recognizing and thanking all our paraeducators today and every day!
Sincerely,
Dr. Leslie Torres-Rodriguez
Superintendent
Hartford Public Schools
