Classical Magnet School Class of 2017 Makes the 1920's Roar
The Class of 2017 at Classical Magnet School made the 1920's roar back to life with their presentations of the Innovation and Identity coached project on Monday, December 21. Students researched topics such as Prohibition, Women’s Suffrage, flapper lifestyle, the Harlem Renaissance, silent film, and many more to investigate what it means to be a citizen and to pursue the American Dream. With jazz performances and historical re-enactments, the Classical juniors creatively used their learning to educate, entertain, and enthrall their audience. The next coached project by the Class of 2017 will take place in the Spring 2016 and highlight major events of the 1960's.
