Classical Magnet School Students Win Arts Awards

Congratulations to our Classical Magnet Artists!
 
In December, 7th grader Ashley Nelson’s artwork (center) was selected as a winner for the Superintendent’s Greeting Card contest.  This annual contest is sponsored by the Superintendent and the student designs are made into note cards.
 
10th grader Jetta McPhee,  received 2nd place for her digital artwork (left) for the MLK High School Poster contest at the Yale Peabody Museum.  This annual contest took place in January in honor of Dr. King and his legacy.  
 
 11th grader Seh Seh,  received 3rd place in the Teen category for his digital artwork (right) at the National Arts Program in Hartford.  The National Arts Program is a community exhibition of various age groups and skill levels.   It is held every year at Capital Community College in February.
