David R. Jimenez
David R. Jimenez is a Principal in the Hartford, Connecticut office of the national law firm, Jackson Lewis PC, and is the Co-Chair of firm’s Corporate Governance & Internal Investigations Practice Group. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, he was the Vice President of Employee Relations and Associate General Counsel of The Hartford Insurance Group, a global multi-line insurance company.
Mr. Jimenez is member of the Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Texas state Bar Associations. He also is a former member of the American Bar Association, the National Hispanic Bar Association, the American Leadership Forum, and the Barrister Inns of Court. He completed a two-year appointment as liaison to the ABA’s national Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession.
In November of 2014, Mr. Jimenez was appointed by Governor Malloy of the State of Connecticut to serve on the Connecticut Board of Regents which oversees Connecticut’s seventeen universities and community colleges serving over 90,000 students. In 2018, he was re-appointed as a Regent to this Board by the newly elected Government Ned Lamont. Mr. Jimenez is also the President of the Board of Directors of The Hartford Stage Company, a former Trustee of The Mark Twain House & Museum, and a past president and board member of The Hartford County Bar Foundation.
Mr. Jimenez received his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law, and his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Texas.
