Overview:
  • Leadership and Public Service Pathway  (Grades 9 -12): The purpose of the Leadership and Public Service Pathway is for us to “Grow our own Leaders'' in the field of Education and Government and Politics. The Leadership and Public Service Pathway is driven by individual student commitment that promotes community achievement. Aligned with real world career expectations and work based learning, the school culture is structured to promote the development of interdependent, self-discipline, ethical leadership, and devotion to community. Students will choose from exploratory theme classes in various education, government and politics focus areas such as If you Love it, Teach it; Intro to Special Education; and Local Civic engagement to name a few. 

Bulkeley High School's Leadership and Public Service Pathway offers students the access to high-level, theme-focused courses, including college-level courses at partner universities and Advanced Placement course opportunities to jump start their future within the communities they choose to serve. Students will be able to graduate with NAF certification and credentials.

Computer Science Pathway  (Grades 9-12): The Computer Science Pathway curriculum covers computer networking, systems, database design, digital production, graphic design, web design, and programming.

In addition, students will qualify for training programs and diploma+ certifications to support them as they enter the job market.

Bulkeley High School’s Computer Science Pathway engages students by using computer technology as a lens through which everyday problems are analyzed, approached and solved. Students learn how to think as professionals and rediscover their role as a future leader.
