Harlem Globetrotters and XL Center Bring T.E.A.M. Program to SAND School

Special thank to Zeus, the Harlem Globetrotters and the XL Center for edutaining our 3rd and 4th grade students at SAND School on Friday, January 31, 2020.  The students had fun and they learned about the “T.E.A.M. UP AT SCHOOL” program designed by the National Campaign to Stop Violence. The program is presented in order to provide students with bullying solutions through the acronym, T.E.A.M. that stands for Talk, Empathize, Ask, and Mobilize.

Students and teachers participated, learning ball-tricks and thinking about ways to TEAM-up for each other. And, oh yes, 2019 Teacher of the Year Narciso Moquete was there!

The Globetrotters bring their school initiatives to 300-plus schools and youth centers annually. Cities in which the program is presented will greatly hinge on the team’s touring schedule.
