Hartford Public High School Earns Two Major Sportsmanship Awards at Central Connecticut Conference

On November 30th, Hartford Public High School earned two great awards at the Central Connecticut Conference fall banquet. The first one was the sportsmanship award for our division and the second one was the sportsmanship award for the entire conference. The way the conference determines these awards is by votes cast by all of the coaches and athletic directors in our conference.

These sportsmanship awards are awarded to schools that have exemplified outstanding sportsmanship during the fall season by our league the Central Connecticut Conference (CCC). The ceremony for the fall season was held at the Aqua Turf in Southington.

Winning the CCC sportsmanship award is a very prestigious award and speaks highly regarding the quality of our coaches who are incredibly dedicated, and the caliber of the players on the field. This award is voted on by opposing coaches in the league so it a very respected award in the sports community. Our fall teams at Hartford Public High School who share this award are football, boys’ and girls’ soccer, girls’ volleyball, boys’ and girls’ cross country and cheerleading.

The awards are representative of our entire school community and we should all be proud in receiving these great awards!
