Help the RISE Academy Students from HPHS with Collection for Georgia Tornado Victims
The Tornado Assistance Drive for the International Studies Charter Elementary School in Albany Georgia officially began on February 1. They will collect donations through February 24th so they will be able to mail everything out the weekend before President’s Day.
They are looking for gently used or new shoes of all sizes (especially youth sizes), socks, cleaning supplies, and hygiene products. All of the donations will be mailed to International Studies Elementary Charter School in Albany, GA. The students of this school were devastated by the tornados which ravished their homes in January. Many of the students come from low-income families and participate in the school’s ELL program.
Donations can be brought to HPHS Academy of Engineering and Green Technology at 55 Forest Street in Hartford, or to Hartford Public Schools Welcome Center, 8th floor reception or 9th floor reception at 960 Main Street in Hartford until 2/24/17.
