In 2012, Hartford Public Schools convened a public-private work group charged with linking secondary education and workforce development. It included the Mayor of Hartford, Capital Workforce Partners , MetroHartford Alliance and CBIA. The Hartford Student Internship Plan was the result. The Plan establishes a collaborative system employing rigorous standards and meaningful internship experiences, a proven approach to strengthening Hartford’s future workforce in its formative stages.

Students who would like to complete an internship will be placed with organizations that match their interests. Our goal is to provide options that reflect the diversity of interests within our student population.
