HPATV CELEBRATES BLACK HISTORY MONTH WITH CHIEF TEALE’S “THE TOOLS OF LEARNING” VIDEO SERIES RELEASE

THE HARTFORD PUBLIC LIBRARY – CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY CULTURE

HARTFORD, CT (February 22, 2017) – On Thursday, February 23, 2017, 6:00PM, Hartford Public Access Television, Inc. will celebrate Black History Month with the video series release of “Chief Teale’s The Tools of Learning.”  The new HPATV series, which was produced in collaboration with Teale Ink, is based on the book, Chief Teale’s “The Tools of Learning” recently published by Retired Hartford Fire Chief, Charles A. Teale, Sr.

The event will take place at the Hartford Public Library’s Center for Contemporary Culture, 500 Main Street, Hartford, CT.  The celebration is FREE and open to the public including a reception with appetizers and refreshments.

Retired Fire Chief Charles A. Teale will facilitate a special screening of one of the five episodes which focuses on the importance of understanding local and national history as a way to motivate oneself to learn, understand, and remember information for both academic and professional success.

The complete 5 episode series will be broadcast Saturday mornings at 10am on HPATV’s Channel 5 on Comcast and statewide on HPATV’s Channel 99 on Frontier.  The series will also be available via Video On Demand at www.HPATV.org,.
