ICYMI: A Training Session about School Governance Councils Roles and Responsibilities

On October 21, 2021, Hartford Public Schools Family & Community Partnerships presented a virtual learning session for School Governance Council (SGC) members and all HPS Families, about SGC ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND THE PRINCIPAL HIRING PROCESS.

This was a  Virtual Training Session for Parent Leaders and it featured Robert Rader, Executive Director of CT Association of Boards of Education (CABE), Patrice McCarthy, Deputy Director and General Counsel of CABE, and Erica Jerome, Staffing Specialist in the Office of Talent Management for Hartford Public Schools. The event was hosted by Viviana Alvarado, M.Psy., the Family Engagement and School Governance Council Manager for Hartford Public Schools, and  Spanish interpretation was available.

CABE shared this document called Hartford School Governance Council Training. You can watch the video of the 10/21/21 training below. (SGC Members: Watching the video does not replace meeting attendance.  If you missed the training you may contact Viviana Alvarado to join a make-up session.)

Send any questions, comments or concerns for the panel to Viviana Alvarado.
