The High School Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Boston New England Chapter were just announced. Journalism & Media Academy/CT Public Learning won four honorable mentions; the sole Connecticut High School to be recognized!

This well researched and edited video provides a concise history of rap music and profiles two aspiring young artists, Tim Gibson and Tyjon Henderson who hope to be rap’s future. There are no titles on this video, as it was a deliverable from our PBS NewsHour Student Reporting Lab to the PBS NewsHour Student Reporting Lab in Alexandria, Virginia.

Lego-Marvel Super Heroes Commercial

The assignment in this Content Day class for Angel Morales was to create a world through sound design that matched the intensity and action of the visuals in this Lego-Marvel Super Heroes Commercial. In addition to the commercial, you’ll see the ProTools timeline with the tracks of sound effects and music. This assignment required learning and using Pro Tools and finding, editing and mixing sound.
