Journalism & Media Magnet Academy Students Featured on WNPR's Morning Edition Discussing Student Debt

The JMA after-school program students have been working for weeks on a comprehensive story about student debt. The feature will be available online Monday, and will air Tuesday on WNPR’s JMA Students on NPR's Morning Edition.

The students made a trip to the state Capitol to interview Representative Matt Lesser, and spoke over the phone with Congressman Joe Courtney. They took photos, transcribed tape, collaborated on the script, and sat through an official “Dankosky edit.” Special thanks to CPBN’s Audrey Lawrence for agreeing to be interviewed about her debt load.

Our outstanding team is ViQuan Herring, Bishnu Khatiwada, and Odane Campbell — with support from Tikeyah Whittle, Freddy Rivera, and Jim Moffett. (And of course Donna and Paul!)
