Law and Government Academy and Academy of Engineering and Green Technology Participate in 14th Annual Actuarial & Analytics High School Day at Travelers

Students from the Law and Government Academy (Jordon Freeman, Alondra Gardner, Tara Mishra, and Win Paw) and Academy of Engineering and Green Technology (Khalil Bradley) participated in the 14th Annual Actuarial & Analytics High School Day at the Travelers on Friday, February 19, 2016.  The Actuarial & Analytics High School Day promotes careers based in mathematics to high school students as they begin the process of picking a major.  Most recently, Actuary, Mathematician and Statistician were ranked in the top 4 of 200 jobs ranked by CareerCast.com using five criteria: physical demands, work environment, income, stress, and hiring outlook.

Activities included a presentation by the Actuarial & Analytics Leadership Development Program, a panel discussion with recent Actuarial and Analytics hires, an insurance math simulation game, two job shadows with Actuarial & Analytics employees, and a panel discussion with recent college graduates.
