Manchester resident Melissa Peoples faced a challenge when it became time to transition her three children from a home-school environment to a school that could help them prepare for higher education.   After hearing mixed reactions about public school opportunities in her area, Peoples decided she would have to do her own homework to help her children succeed with theirs. “We heard about Great Path Academy (GPA) from another family that lives in Tolland,” said Peoples. “We attended an open house that really provided us with a true sense of what to expect and the opportunities that GPA had to offer. For our children, Christian and Lauren (pictured here), it was a seamless transition, they didn’t get lost in the mix. We were not sure what to expect but they flourished at GPA. All three of my children have been on the GPA honor roll and have done exceptionally well academically.”  I feel like all the teachers and administration have been cheering for us and for the kids – it doesn’t seem like just a job to them.”
