MHIS Offers Microsoft IT Academy to City and Schools Staffmembers

Microsoft provides professional development to organizations around the world to help them take new approaches to learning and teaching; first by increasing knowledge and expertise of staff who are using technology and Microsoft products; second using technology to help students develop the 21st century skills necessary for success in today’s economy.

MHIS is happy to offer City and School staff many of these opportunities through our subscription to the Microsoft online IT Academy. The online Microsoft IT Academy provides staff with free access to hundreds of Microsoft approved training programs, accessible from anywhere with an internet connection.

In addition to the many classes in the Academy that are focused on specific IT products, please make note of two special categories of classes. The Digital Literacy group provides a nice introduction to computing for those that are less comfortable with technology. The Partners in Learning group speaks specifically of leveraging technology in the classroom to improve student experiences and outcomes
