Noah Webster MicroSociety Magnet School Receives Four STARS; Highest Recognition from Microsociety Community 

Noah Webster MicroSociety Magnet School received Four STARS, the highest recognition of excellence awarded to our international community! 

At Noah Webster, teachers and students alike recognize the importance of teamwork for student success. They value the accountability that students have in their own learning and empower students to take responsibility in their education by seeking out answers and to ask without fear of being judged when help is needed. Noah Webster continues to work toward excellence in integrating MicroSociety’s principles into their teaching and its strands into the learning process. 

MicroSociety International created its STAR System to recognize member schools/programs that demonstrate a high commitment to academic standards, student empowerment and leadership, innovation and community engagement.  Results are compiled from a lengthy survey, telephone interviews and on-site observations and assessment. Acknowledged by peers, parents and students for their exemplary contributions to the field of innovative education, STAR schools are recognized and celebrated at the MicroSociety Conference annually.   

MicroSociety is a leading international non-profit organization specializing in motivating students to succeed using real-world learning environments. Named after MicroSociety’s founder Dr. George H. Richmond, the George Awards recognize outstanding achievement of students, educators, parents, and community partners in real-world learning. The George Awards were a major highlight of MicroSociety’s 27th Annual International Conference, which took place this summer at Thoreau Demonstration Academy and Wilson Teaching and Learning Academy in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
