Pathways to Technology School Provides Talented Audio Engineers for Qusharia Perry Music Video's First Steps
Qusharia Perry is a talented singer/songwriter and a Hartford high school student. Last week, she recorded her original song, "My Future Now," at Pathways to Technology School. Qusharia wrote the song for Hartford Public Schools, inspired by their new slogan. "Where the Future is Present." She also performed the song live in front of hundreds of HPS teachers and staff at Convocation without breaking a sweat. Student audio engineers from Pathways to Technology, Akeem Allen and Troy Brice manned the equipment and did a great job of recording the music, while student, Ramon Hernandez took "B-roll" –which is akin to capturing extra documentary footage for later use within a video project– to prepare for music video production. The audio recording of the song is the first step in a music video project that Pathways to Technology students will create. Hartford Public Schools cannot wait to put the music video up on the website!
