Phoenix and Hartford’s Wish School Celebrate 30-year Partnership

The Phoenix/Wish mentoring program’s 30th anniversary celebration is scheduled for June 2nd, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Phoenix’s downtown headquarters (One American Row, a.k.a., the Boat Building).

Hartford, CT, June 1, 2011– Students from Hartford’s Fred D. Wish Elementary School and volunteers from The Phoenix Companies, Inc. have been getting together weekly for 25 years in a tutoring program that is believed to be the oldest continuously operated school-business partnership in Hartford.
On Tuesday, May 31, students, teachers and tutors celebrated the end of this milestone year. To mark the occasion, Phoenix purchased a portable interactive smart board for the school and provided each student with a photo book of the 2010-2011 program year.
