Ready, Set, College! Art Contest Winners Tour Yale University!

On November 28th, three fifth grade students from Parkville Community School and 12 second grade students from Eleanor B. Kennelly School toured Yale University.  This was the prize they won for submitting excellent posters about their favorite college or University as part of College and Career Awareness Month's "Ready, Set, College!" Art Contest.  All 13 posterboards wereon display at City Hall during the first week of November.  The concept is part of Hartford Public Schools' College Readiness Goal, part of which is to get all Hartford students thinking about college as their destination for success.

Also on display at City Hall were two college-themed barrells decorated by the students at Alfred E. Burr School.

Parkville Community School's celebration of Trinity College with Sonia Dinnall, Director of College and Career Readiness.

Kennelly's celebration of Wesleyan University with Jackie Coleman, Senior Advisor for the Arts.
