Announcing SPARK, a ‘female only’ engineering camp for rising 7-10th graders and Explore Engineering (E2), a co-ed camp for rising 11-12th graders. Both camps are hosted by the University of Connecticut’s School of Engineering Diversity and Outreach Center and are designed to teach students about STEM subjects (more specifically engineering) in a hands-on and fun way.
Welcome to SPARK! Igniting the Next Generation of Women Engineers
In light of COVID-19 regulations and social distancing requirements, we are going online!
Welcome to SPARK 2020: Virtual Edition! If you are a current 6th through 9th grade female student during the 2019-2020 school year, the University of Connecticut invites you to challenge yourself by incorporating your math and science skills into hands-on projects and experiments, exciting engineering concepts, and fun activities.
Please note that the program cost is $895 (financing and financial aid is available).
Our camp already offers financial assistance if needed to every and anyone, but EDOC is committing to funding marginalized students, especially black and brown students, to attend the camp should they want to come and not have the means.
The programs takes place online!
