Renzulli Academy Student Council Helps Others

The Renzulli Academy Student Council had a busy year of fundraising, creating awareness and making donations to help others.  The Council collected 5 boxes of canned goods and $70 in donations for the “Hands on Hartford” food pantry earlier this year. They also collected over $150, in addition to donations of canned food and pet toys, for the “Out to Pasture” animal shelter.  This spring, Renzulli’s Student Council created an Anti-Bullying pledge and all students pledged to make the school environment a safe place to learn.  Finally, the students recently did a collection for Pinwheels for Prevention, an organization that raises awareness for child abuse and gives support to victims and their families.  The students made their pledge to this cause and received a pinwheel that was displayed in the Academy courtyard to show their support.  (See photos below.)
