SMSA’s Successful Toy Collection Campaign for “Toys for Tots”

The National Honor Society at Sport and Medical Sciences Academy (SMSA), in conjunction with the Spanish Club, spearheaded the campaign for a toy collection for “Toys for Tots”.  On December 7th, the second home game for the Lady Tigers also helped with the cause.  The admission fee was either a new, unwrapped toy or $4.00, which the monies were then used to buy toys to donate.  PTO members were also asked to support the toy drive by bringing a new unwrapped toy to our December monthly parent breakfast, which occurred on December 8th.  On December 11th, the members of National Honor Society and the Spanish Club wrapped and appropriately labeled the presents for distribution.

Many toys were collected that helped make the Holiday Season brighter for over 200 Hartford families!
