Sport and Medical Sciences Academy Student to Receive Suffolk University Scholarship Resulting from Win at Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) for Southern New England

Sport and Medical Sciences  Academy’s senior, Victoria Parisi, selected to receive a $5,000 renewable scholarship each year from Suffolk University as a the result of her second place finish last year at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) for Southern New England.

Victoria was invited to Babson College last week to give the keynote speech to this year’s competitors.  As noted from Suffolk University:

“You are incredibly deserving of this award.  Your spirit, determination, entrepreneurial mindset
and perseverance shines through.  Your speech on Tuesday said it all – it’s not about winning,
it’s about continuing on your path towards success.  The students were so moved by your talk,
and teachers even asked, if you would be available to speak in their classrooms next year.  You
are remarkable, young women and have so much to teach the next generation of NFTE
    students.”

Victoria’s business, Skilled Sitters, is a babysitting service for families who have children which require special care beyond the typical babysitter.  She has already received significant funding for her business and expects to be fully operational by January, 2015.  Victoria is an extremely dedicated student at SMSA and is planning to pursue a business degree in Finance at Suffolk University.
