“Stuff the Bus” School Supplies Drive
Big shout-out to our partners at the United Way. With their annual Stuff the Bus Campaign they were able to collect over 6,000 school supplies for our students. The United Way will continue to “Stuff the Bus” and collect supplies until Thursday, September. The supplies included notebooks, rulers, glue, crayons, pens, and more.
Hartford Public Schools Community Partnerships Manager, Lindsay Diaz, explains how the district plans to distribute the supplies, “The materials have not been distributed to our schools. At this time, we plan on splitting the materials and distributing to our families who contact the Welcome Center for school supplies needs. This is extremely helpful for families who didn’t have the opportunity to attend our school supply giveaway on 8/17. Thank you, United Way, for all that you do.”
