Students from Expeditionary Learning Academy at Moylan School Performs at the Hartford Symphony's Annual Gala

The ELAMS select Honor Choir performed with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra at a Black Tie Gala held at Renschler Field on September 22nd at 7 pm. The students, ranging from 2nd to 5th grade, sang and played 'Ode to Joy' from Beethoven's 9th symphony.

Hartford Mayor, Pedro E. Segarra and Connecticut State Govenor, Dannel Malloy were both present at the Gala and took the time to congratulate the students on their performance, which received a standing ovation!

The following Saturday evening the ELAMS choir also performed at the Bushnell Park Pavillion at a culminating concert with HSO as part of Hartford Envision Fest. Once again the students gave a great performance and earned a standing ovation.

We are so proud of our students who represented ELAMS and the Hartford Public School District so well!
