High School students will compete in person in front of College Recruiters looking to offer scholarships to prospective recruits.

Carolina Esports Hub, parent company for the leading Esports recruiting platform Stay Plugged In, today announced it will be partnering with University High School of Science and Engineering to host an Esports recruiting showcase. As part of the Stay Plugged In Campus Series program, students will compete for titles and monetary prizes in games like Rocket League, Valorant, and SMASH Ultimate. The in-person showcase will take place over two days and will include a college fair as well as an educational panel discussion on the collegiate Esports landscape. Spectators are welcome to attend.

This event will allow students who are interested in competing in Esports at the collegiate level to play in front of and communicate with college coaches who are looking to add to their respective teams. It’s also an opportunity for students who may be interested in pursuing a career in Esports to learn about the opportunities that exist, as well as students interested in University High School to learn about the school and meet staff.

“The growth in the collegiate Esports space along with an increase in the number of schools now offering significant scholarships to students is creating a viable path to college for many students. We are thrilled to be able to create an opportunity for these students to gain valuable exposure as part of a fun event,” said Rick Suarez, CEO of Carolina Esports Hub.
