University High School Students Receive Recognition for Service Work in the Dominican Republic

A group of 30 University High School students traveled to the Dominican Republic over Thanksgiving break for a week-long service trip. UHSSE has been partnering with Watkinson School and the Good Samaritan Hospital of La Romana, Dominican Republic for six years now.

Throughout the years the group has built hurricane proof homes in poor, rural areas and has contributed to the construction of the Joe Hartman School.

In this picture students can be seen holding a plaque from the Joe Hartman School recognizing our school for its work throughout the years.
