‘Numerous times I have heard that kids who grow up on the north or south side of Hartford, CT are destined to be high school drop outs, drug dealers or even teenage mothers and fathers. On the contrary, what the people who make these kinds of assumptions do not know is that many high school students are determined, hard-working and will persevere and take advantage of as much as possible of what life has to offer. I am one of those students.’–Student from the Class of 2010 (In her own words)
