On October 28, 2025, the HPS Strategic Partnerships and Fund Development Team invited many of our community partners, City of Hartford staff, Board Members, and HPS staff to volunteer for our first "Raising the Bar: Common Application Completion Event." Volunteers committed to supporting our seniors at Bulkeley High School, Hartford Public High School and Weaver High School as they took this important step toward their post-secondary future.
From guiding students through two-year and four-year college applications and essay drafts, to informing them about career and internship possibilities, to creating a welcoming and encouraging environment, each volunteer played an essential role in helping our students with this important work.
This event was made possible by our shared mission to ensure every student is prepared and supported in achieving success. Together, we’ve set a new standard for what’s possible when our schools and community come together.
