The temperatures are plummeting outside this winter as we continue to work for excellence inside our warm and cozy schools. We want to express our deepest thanks for to all our community partners who have helped our students stay warm outside this school year!
We-Lo Coat Giveaway
On November 21, 2025, the International WeLoveU Foundation, Connecticut Chapter (We-Lo) visited West Middle School and donated beautiful coats and gloves for every student in the school! We had a dynamic celebration in the gymnasium which included all the great We-Lo representatives, a member of Congressman John Larson's office, West Middle School staff and students, HPS district leaders, and our Strategic Partnerships team -- plus lots of snacks!

Operation Warm Coat Giveaway with Accenture and Travelers
Operation Warm and Accenture made possible a Coat Giveaway at Sanchez School on November 21, 2025, donating over 300 coats to ensure each of our Sanchez students stays warm this year! Volunteers enjoyed a vibrant performance by the talented Maria Sanchez Drumline, led by music teacher Tim Bojanowski, before the organizations joined forces to make sure all 300 coats fit the students well and that the zippers worked.
Students created gorgeous thank you posters and a giant thank you card for the organizations. HPS thanks members of the Accenture team who played significant roles in leading and driving the event in collaboration with Operation Warm: Rushi Padwal (MD Sponsor), Anish Thodivial (People Engagement Lead), Farzana Panvala (Event Lead), and Paige Walker (Marketing & Communication Lead).
Special thanks to Operation Warm who traveled all the way from Philadelphia with the coats to be here for our Sanchez Crew!
